Any advice on the best way to make a fake "lechon" (whole roasted pig) for a production of "Blood Wedding"? I was thinking of either using foam and carving it or maybe paper mache.

Has anyone had any success?

Foam is your best bet, with either cheese cloth for integrity or "poor man's fiberglass" (a homemade form of Sculpt-or-Coat). The thing with a pig, is it has to be smooth and shiny. A couple good gloss coats will help with that. Once I am back at UT next week, I'll post some pics of the ones we have made over the years.

thanks!
