I'm looking for a comedy, full-length that has a fairly large cast size (around 30, maybe fewer) that has good Female leads, and that has fairly easy men parts. Any ideas?

Fake crackable eggs?

We are doing a production of Red coming up and I'm wondering if anyone has 'made' fake crackable eggs. They physically crack the eggs to make the tempera paint but are not actually cracking the fake eggs they have.

I know you can drain the yolk and whites from the inside, but can you fill it with anything to make it appear like a yolk when they crack the eggs?

I am seeking producers for three completed, copyrighted musicals:

"The Amateur Sinner," an amorous and amoral fairytale for adults, set in a remote corner of French wine country in the late 1920s. The plot concerns a misanthropic WW1 veteran who wanders into a small town set in the midst of a forest which requires three days to cross. Here he encounters a wealthy, ambitious but vulgar peasant couple who want to marry their 'hot-eyed' but still virginal daughter into the local nobility, represented by the snobbish comtesse and her effete son. Other major characters include a good 'bad' girl, her aunt who owns the bistro, the shy doctor who is in love with the aunt, a crone who knows everyone's secrets, and a feral youth who has a somewhat peculiar, prehensile appendage in his nether regions.

"Anything for a Laff!" a 1930s Hollywood 'Casting Couch' Musical Comedy, which is both a satire of the Studio System and a tribute to the great films of that decade, including the spectaculars of Busby Berkeley, the sophisticated cat-and-dog courtships of Fred & Ginger, the 'gee, kids, my uncle has a barn--let's put on a show' tuners of Mickey & Judy, and the melodramas of Alice Faye. All the archetypes are represented: the shyster producer, his minimally talented mistress who stars in all his movies, her alcoholic former matinee idol ex-husband, his current mistress the long-suffering character actress, her younger sister the ruthless ingenue, the comic song-and-dance team (he's gay, she's in love with him) and the triple threat hick from the sticks who saves the studio from bankruptcy, solving everyone's romantic problems except his own.

"Zarzuela de Ovejunador (The Sheepherder's Opera)," adapted from Lope' de Vega's Golden Age comedy "Fuente' Ovejuna (The Sheep Well)," about an actual peasant revolt in the late 15th century which arose in reactiong to 'la ley de prima noche' which permitted a feudal lord to enjoy a bride's favors on her wedding night, even before the groom. Principal characters are the eponymous peasant youth, his spitfire fiancee', the villainous nobleman, the priest and other townspeople, the local madwoman and the identical (but unknown) knightly twin brother of the protagonist, as well as Ferdinand & Isabella and members of the Holy Office.

The plot concerns a misanthropic vagabond--a veteran of World War I--who arrives in a small town, set in the middle of a forest which requires 3 days to cross--on the day of the grape harvest.

He comes into conflict with a wealthy and ambitious peasant couple who are trying to marry their virginal but hot-eyed daughter into the local nobility, represented by the foppish Comte Louis and his mother, Mme. la Comtesse, who though proud of their ancestry, are impoverished.

Other characters include a lovelorn physician, the proprietress of the local bistro, her octogenarian aunt (who does a wild can-can!), a good "bad" girl, the mayor, town council, their wives, farm laborers, a billy goat with Socialist leanings, and a feral youth who has a somewhat peculiar, prehensile appendage in his nether regions;

"Anything for a Laff!," a 1930s Hollywood 'Casting Couch' Musical Comedy, both a satire of the Studio System (and the way the moguls controlled the private lives of their employees) and a tribute to the great musical films of Busby Berkeley, Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Judy Garland & Mickey Rooney, and Alice Faye.

The protagonist is a multi-talented hick-from-the-sticks who hitchhikes from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky to Los Angeles, where he becomes an "overnite star," though it actually requires seven years. Not only does he save the studio from bankruptcy, but he straightens out the romantic and career problems of his fellow celluloid Thespians.

These include the Studio Boss, his minimally talented Leading Lady (and mistress), her ex-husband the Fading Matinee Idol, his current flame the Long-Suffering Character Actress, her younger sister the Ruthless Ingenue, and the not-so-deeply-closeted Comic Song and Dance Man and his partner, the Wisecracking Soubrette.

Third, but not least, "Zarzuela de Ovejunador (The Sheepherder's Opera), a Musical Tale of Romance, Rape, Revenge and Revolution, set in the late 15th century Spain of Ferdinand & Isabella, adapted from Lope' de Vega's Golden Age comedy, "Fuente' Ovejuna (The Sheep Well)," interweaving its two plots much more closely than in the original.

The story concerns the title peasant youth, his spitfire girlfriend, the local feudal lord who indulges his lust through the law which entitles him to enjoy a bride's favors on her wedding night--with or without the consent of her new husband--and the identical (but unknown) twin brother of the protagonist, who is a noble knight fighting in the wars of the Reconquista.

Other characters include the King and Queen, Peasants, Nobles, Soldiers, Campfollowers and Torquemada, the Grand Inquisitor, as well as the Madwoman who is mother to both of the twin protagonists.

Theatre Teacher Job Opening- AZ

I am leaving my current job to move back to the east coast, however, my principal is allowing me to drum up some candidates so here's the low down.

This is a full time position that teaches acting and CTE technical theatre. Currently there are 2 levels for the acting based classes and 2 levels for the technical theatre classes. There are extra duty contracts for directing the fall play and spring musical which are presented in the professional performing arts center on our school campus, the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts. This is a public high school with a student body of approximately 630 and 70- 75 students have been directly involved in the productions as cast or crew for the last three years. The enrollment for the five sections of theatre courses has been around 100-125.
