Putting a Face on Theatre

Replies to This Discussion

The only one Ive found so far is a Rosco Gels App. There is a nice software sharing program called 'Dropbox' that has an app as well. I recommend it to everyone!

Not a droid user, but your inquiry prompted me to check out the App store for my iPhone. I found that ETC has a pair of apps that turn your phone into a rigger's remote, plus there are several DMX calculators, Lighting throw calculators and all kinds of other toys. I don't know what the iPad compatibility is for these apps, but it does appear that an iPhone can be your LD/ME's best friend.

Also, there's an interesting app out there titled "Rehearsal" for actors, where they can input their scripts, highlight their lines, record audio of other actors' lines, etc. Not too shabby.

Anyone else find anything good?

I just got the phone and haven't installed anything yet, but I did find AndroiDMX 512, a "Spectral Audio Analyzer," and a TKTS app for my next trip to NYC.

I built this Gel Books app. Gel Books for Android
