Putting a Face on Theatre
Does anyone know of a DVD that shares what jobs are part of putting up a play beyond the acting jobs? I want to change up my curriculum for my tech theatre class this coming school year.

Permalink Reply by Laurie J Johnson on May 26, 2015 at 5:40pm Kristi, I am located in Grand Junction, CO. We do not have any professional theatres in town, but as I read your reply, I realized--to the sound of trumpets blaring--that our university's theatre department is pretty top-notch. I will contact the dept chair to see if someone would be willing, for a small stipend, come speak to my class. I feel pretty foolish not thinking of that. Thanks for the stage slap to the head. :-)

that outline a lot of different technical jobs and disciplines - they are relatively short and sweet and can certainly start a discussion.

Laurie, I have not seen this video, but this series is very good and produced by a couple who are retired HS theatre teachers.
