Well, that was a pleasant surprise. Turns out that the mics got a little workout at a renowned children's theatre. What does that mean? For starters, three more folks opinions and expertise to condense down and a rewrite for me to fit the new information in. I look forward to seeing what the new guys have to say.

It was 'awesome' was the verdict from a random audience member. I managed to catch the tail end of one of the presenters who did step away from the podium, fortunately we have the floor mics in place (they were on carpet on a cantilevered platform). The transition was smooth and near flawless. One of the exec wranglers did say that she happy that her boss 'sounded so good and everybody could hear him'.

The mics are back from Victor's playground (he's compiling thoughts as I type) and immediately another different chance to use them popped up. Right now they are serving as boundary mics for a talking heads/corporate presentation. Those of you that have done those know that it's not always possible to get an exec to stand still or talk directly into the podium mic so a little insurance policy is never a bad thing. Yep. We looked at that after it was put back together since it was giving strange reads relative to the other one. It's all better and both are behaving exactly the same. Thanks Bruce!

Re popping the lid, Trevor, could you make sure that the foam inside the lid fully covered the grille holes after the lid was reassembled, and that the denser foam was toward the rear of the mic? A sound leak around the foam could account for the difference in rear rejection between the TM-125C and the PCC-160. On average they have the same rear rejection, and customers have affirmed that on our website. Thanks!

Yes, I can verify Bruce's statement about lifting the mic trying to get better isolation. I also cannot get it to pick up floor vibrations. Douglas what type of microphones do you use for your boundary? Maybe floor mics in your situation aren't the optimal path.
