I really enjoyed this post. When I'm stuck (or when my students are stuck), I tell them to write the crap they think they're going to write anyway. And if that doesn't work, I tell them (or me, but I'll try to keep it to my students for now) to set…

My play, HOUND, has been published by NEXT STAGE PRESS. It is a surreal take on The Hound of the Baskervilles, with Watson front and center as a man dealing with the death of his wife, the emergence of Holmes (from a presumably watery grave), and a…

Thanks, John - I'd love to read your plays - let me know when you have something running in NYC or DC.

Hey, folks. I'm keeping my page open (not private). Feel free to contact me about any of my plays. I had a very productive season Off-Off Broadway - 3 full length productions, a one-act, and a full-length staged-reading. Two were commissions, one under a grant from the NEA. I also have a short about Lincoln and Robert E. Lee, which was commissioned in Louisiana. It was given a staged-reading featuring Louisiana Secretary of State Jay Dardenne. Two of my one-acts are published: www.therianttheatre.com.

As always, I'm looking to meet producers, artistic directors, and anyone else interested in new (or, at least, "new-ish") works ;)

Best,
JpB
