We have gone from pre-production phase into show week. As i write this the crew is running a dry tech of the show before a full dress rehearsal tonight. Unfortunately this is the first time we will have all of the technical elements of the show running. Let me back up and go through the production schedule we should have been following.

We have been attacking the project on two different fronts this week. The first front involves delegating the work and developing a more detailed list of all the imagery/video elements that we will require for the show. I finally have a student involved in the project that understands the full scope of what we have undertaken. Using a media server to create the scenery for a 2 1/2 hour long show will be complex.

Since my first post things have been moving along slowly, read frustrating for me, I want to see more finished. I am wiating for the show to be cast and the student technicians to join me in my quest to master the software and start creating the imagery.

I am starting work on our major drama project for the school year. We are doing "Universal Robots" by Mac Rogers, the play is being staged as a ritualistic pageant. we have decided to use three screens for the set and only simple furniture. In addition we are turning our proscenium stage into a 175 seat thrust theater.
