My rule of thumb is: If you can't find it easily, keep it. If they're valuable then you won't be able to replace them if you need them later. And you most likely will. Clean them up and set them aside somewhere.

You didn't say if latex or oil paint was used. If it's latex sending it to get cleaned and re-stained, Your local supplier can give you more suggestions. Good liuck!
