What's your current project?

Adapting and Directing a stage version of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, It's really coming along nicely!!

What theatres or schools have you attended?

Currently Technical Director at Windward School in Mar Vista CA.
I have been a director and technical director and designer for over 26 years.
Director: Nevada Shakespeare in the Park, Ojai Shakespeare Festival, Burbank Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare at Play, American Renaissance Theatrical Society, Crown City Theater, and the Globe Playhouse.
Technical Director and/or Designer: Globe playhouse, Megaw Theater, El Portal Theater, Chandler Studios, Malibu Stage Company, Oddysey Theater, Hudson Theater, Excalibur Theater, Tiffany Theater, Burbank Theater Guild, Two Roads Theater, Court Theater, Melrose Theater, Camelot Players, Nevada Shakespeare in the Park, and many more.

What do you aspire to?

What I really want to do is Direct... lol

What's your best advice to someone wanting to be in the theatre?

Take up engineering. But seriously, theater is hard work and the more experience you have, the better off you are. Audition and apply for everything you can. Act, do tech, sell tickets, sweep up… Anything that will introduce you to the most people you can. It’s not who you know OR what you know, it’s who knows YOU! If you are good they will call you back over and over and the only way you can get good is by working at it.

Tech Directors with beards.

One of my students asked me the other day, "Why do all tech teachers have beards?". My response was "not all of them do... " But then I got to thinking about it and aside from all the wonderful and talented tech teachers that are women, all the males I know that teach tech have beards, and over 75% of them wear galsses, and are a bit on the heavy side. When we play Bob and Marti Fowler's DVDs in my class, people always ask me if he's my brother. Weird Huh?
