And no, my name is not Elder Price. ;) My name'ss Brooke, and welcome to my first TheatreFace blog post! In order for you all to get to know me a little better, I'd like to start off by telling you a little bit about myself and what I'll be writing about.

First off, I love Broadway musicals, and constantly make referencs to them (bonus points for you if you caught the Book of Mormon reference in the title/opening sentence!). The first show I saw on Broadway was Newsies, and I hope to see either Matilda the Musical or the Broadway revival of Pippin in New York later this year. Broadway is my dream. I know its a rough business, but I like a good challenge. :)

Another thing about me is that I spend a majority of my current life in the theater. I've done performances at my high school and at a local theater, plus of had tech crew experience as well. I've been cast in productions such as Honk, Aladdin, The Monsters Under The Bed, and Seussucal (which I'm working on currently), and I've been on the set/stage and makeup crews for The Cat in The Hat, and I'm currently on the costume and hair/makeup crews for School House Rock Live. I love being in a theater and I can't bear too much time away from it, because to me, home is where the heart is, and my heart is always in the theater. <3

The last thing I'd like to make clear is that I'm obviously no theatrical expert. My love for the performing arts began only last year and is ever growing, just like my knowledge of the art. I'm not here to tell you that I know exactly how everything in this business works, or how you should go about making your way into the business. I'm just here to discuss what I love, and that, as previously stated, is theater.

To close, I'd like to thank you for taking time to read my post. If you have any suggestions on what I should post about in the future, please leave your ideas in the comments, they would be much appreciated. :) Until next time, so long! (Farewell, aufwiedersehn, good night!)
